This is a 160' x 80' warehouse. The original roof collapsed due the weight of snow and we were selected to build a brand new roof for them. Ahead of schedule, we are almost done with framing and installing trusses. We will start sheathing it next week.
When a house is completely renovated down to its frame, is it still a "renovation" or a "rebuild"?
About a year ago, we were approached by very nice couple who had just bought a rancher in beautiful Brookswood neighborhood of Langley that was built in 1972. They had a clear vision of turning it into their dream home because they loved its location, the lot size and well-established neighborhood. The house being 52 years old meant almost everything needed to be redone, except its building envelope footprint. Inspired by their enthusiasm and well-thought-out plan, we got started stripping it down to its studs.
And here is how it looks now in comparison to where we started from a few months ago.
White Rock fire hall interior renovation project concludes with high evaluation score
Earlier this year Wesbrook was selected to carry out extensive renovation job at White Rock fire hall. The primary deliverables included a conversion of open bunk rooms into comfortable sleeping quarters for firefighters. Everything is wrapped up, ahead of schedule, at our project site in White Rock! We've successfully completed our renovation goals and created 4 comfortable sleeping quarters. Each of the 4 new rooms provide comfortable and private resting environment for our firefighters thanks to a new HVAC system, as well as upgraded sprinkler system, new flooring and new audio speaker for dispatch.
What a transformation! Amazing BEFORE and AFTER comparison of house extension & structural addition
Wesbrook is currently undertaking another project for our brave public servants in uniform. This time we are hired to repair and redo extensive damages at the White Rock RCMP detachment building exterior.
When completed, we will have replaced 4 old rotten glulam (glued laminated timber) beams with new parallel (PSL or parallel-strand lumber) beams, installed new gutter and flashing system, as well as Equitone fibre cement siding, which is fire safe, sound insulating and extreme temperature and water-resistant facade material. It is also resistant to many living organisms, such as fungi, bacteria, insects and vermin.
Structural upgrades we are doing will be complimented by new glass canopy for front entry way.
